U.S. forces kill at least 31 Taliban militants in Afghanistan

U.S. forces targeted multiple districts of Ghazni and Wardak provinces of Afghanistan and killed at least 28 Taliban militants.

According to the Khaama Press (news agency) of Afghanistan, the U.S. forces carried out a series of airstrikes in Ghazni and Wardak provinces and killed at least 28 Taliban militants.

“The U.S. forces conducted airstrikes in Maidan Shar, Jalrez and Nerkh districts of Maidan Wardak province in the past 24 hours,” the 203rd Thunder Corps said in statement on Wednesday, and added that at least 28 militant have been killed.

U.S. forces carried out airstrikes in Andar district of Ghani province too and killed 7 militants.

The 203rd Thunder Corps also added that the airstrikes were carried out in Rahim Khel area of Andar district and destroyed a vehicle belonging to Taliban militants.

Airstrike killed 3 Taliban militants in Herat

The forces in another airstrike in western Herat province of Afghanistan killed at least 3 Taliban militants.

The military officials said Thursday that the security forces killed 3 Taliban militants during an airstrike conducted in Shindand district.
