Three Levies force personnel were martyred and one injured in an explosive device explosion near their check-post in Shewa tehsil of North Waziristan tribal district on Saturday.
Local officials said the personnel were going on duty to their check-post when the explosive device went off in Malak Shahi area of Shewa tehsil. As a result Amir Zaman died instantly while Nambot Khan lost his life at hospital.
Meanwhile, local people organised a demonstration and blocked the Mirali-Thall road in protest against the incident.
Shewa’s tribesmen gathered and staged a demonstration in protest against the killing of Levies men. They blocked Mirali-Thall road and demanded government to stop such incidents.
They said, they are killed for no crime, but for their jobs. “We have been losing our beloved ones in such incidents, now we want not to be killed for our jobs,” they said.
