High speed ‘Rehman Baba Express’ Peshawar – Karachi launched

Rehman Baba Express will travel between Peshawar and Karachi in 26 hours and cost Rs 1350 person fare.

Peshawar — Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed on Sunday inaugurated the Rehman Baba Express high-speed train.

The Rehman Baba Express will reduce the duration of travel and passengers will travel in 26 hours between Peshawar and Karachi.

The minister said, the fare for Rehman Baba Express, Peshawar — Karachi, will be only Rs 1350.

The high-speed train will travel through Multan, Nowshera, Bahawalpur, Attock City, Rawalpindi, Landhi, Wazirabad, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Rahim Yar Khan, Rohri, Nawabshah and Hyderabad along the way to Karachi and vice-versa.

Jahangira and Nowshera stations will be developed under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, he added.

Addressing the launching ceremony, Sheikh Rashid said, Pakistan Railways has started twenty trains in first hundred days of the government and twenty more trains will be run next year to facilitate the passengers.

He said two VVIPs nonstop trains will also be launched in next two months besides starting three trains for tourists.
